Symphonic Band Camp
Symphonic Band camp dates are January 24 and 25, 2014. Attendance is mandatory. Please see a director with an excuse form if you foresee any conflicts with this date. Please plan accordingly.
All-State Band Auditions
Don't forget, All-State Band auditions will be held on December 14, 2013! Times will be available soon. You may sign up for help sessions in the band room.
Students Perform at Georgia State Capitol
Lassiter students perform at the Georgia State Capitol for the annual tree lighting ceremony. The chamber ensembles performed seasonal favorites and chamber music for hundreds in attendance. Congratulations for a job well done.
Lassiter Band Winter Performance
The Lassiter Band is presenting a winter performance on December 12 in the Lassiter Concert Hall. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the performance will begin at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!
The Lassiter Marching Band concludes its competitive season as grand champions!
The band traveled to to Townson, Maryland on October 26, 2013, to compete in the Bands of America Regional Championship. Lassiter High School won Grand Champion and Class AAA champion with awards for Best Music and Best General Effect. This represents Lassiter's 10th Regional Championship and the first under our new director, Mrs. Ginny Markham.
The marching band also competed in the Old South Marching Competition on November 2, 2013, where the marching Trojans were grand champions for the third consecutive year. Congratulations to the students, staff, parents, and directors for a successful marching season - the first of many more to come! The tradition continues...
