Dear Sixth Grade Band Parents,
We are so pleased and excited to offer an incredible opportunity for your children as they begin their band career. The Lassiter High School Band invites all 6th grade band students from Mabry and Simpson to participate in an all day “Band Carnival” at Lassiter on Saturday, September 10, 2022.
The day will be filled with musical instruction, concerts, food, and fun! Professional musicians from the Atlanta area will provide top-notch instruction for your child’s specific instrument, giving them an incredible head start on the basics of hand positions, embouchure, posture, and tone production. The students will have the opportunity to listen to performances given by their instructors and they will also enjoy listening to some of Lassiter’s very own talented ensembles.

Plans for the day also include a pizza party, popcorn, and inflatables! We will conclude the Carnival with a “Grand Finale Concert” performed by the sixth grade students. The concert will begin at 3:00 and all parents are invited. You won’t want to miss this incredible event!
The cost for the day is $45.00 per student, which includes a t-shirt, lunch, instructors and activities.

Checks should be placed in a blank white envelope, labeled with your student’s first name, last name, instrument, school and deposited into the Lassiter Band Room Black Box located inside the Band Room outside the Directors’ office.
